Changelog
The release date and what changed in every Daylumen version, newest first. Notes are the original release notes published on the App Store. Latest version: 1.13.0.
- 1.13.0 · Latest
This update adds "This day" and makes Daylumen more honest:
- New "This day": each evening, Home shows a photo you took that day with one line about your steps and what you shot. Scroll back through earlier days, or share it as an image — numbers are left off by default. Photos are analyzed on your device only.
- It says so when it can't read anything: if no health data has been read yet, you'll see "No health data read yet. Here's a look around first." instead of a result that only looks normal.
- A cleaner Home: the rating-request card is gone.
- You can replay the intro from Settings.
- 1.12.0
Faster start: onboarding is now a single page. One tap reads your health data, or you can look around first.
The morning note now asks whether to turn on only after Home shows a real reading, and asks once.
New "Open-source licenses" entry in Settings.
A few fixes under the hood.
- 1.11.1
This update adds a Traditional Chinese interface, plus a few fixes under the hood.
- 1.11.0
This update makes Daylumen useful even if all you have is an iPhone:
- No Apple Watch needed: the steps your iPhone already records are enough to read your usual activity level.
- It tells you what it has read: when there isn't enough data yet, the home screen shows what it has read so far and what's still missing, instead of a reading that only looks normal.
- Morning check-in no longer depends on sleep: if you have no sleep records, you'll still get a morning line when your activity drops noticeably over a week.
- 1.10.1
This update is mostly about the unlock page:
- The unlock page has been rebuilt: what the full version shows you and how it differs from the free version, all on one screen. The half-price first week shows the discounted amount directly.
- The full version now supports Family Sharing.
Also: "Invite Friends" and "Enter Invite Code" have been added to Settings.
- 1.10.0
Five more languages, done properly: Japanese, Korean, German, French and Spanish now cover every screen, from Today to Settings, Atlas and the unlock page, with no English fallbacks.
The evidence page no longer names a “binding constraint” when nothing actually needs your attention.
On steady days, the Today read now anchors to your own recent numbers instead of a generic line.
Plus small wording fixes.
- 1.9.0
Home now gives you one honest decision. Pick what you care about, and see whether to protect it, explore it, or let it go today — with evidence, your own baseline, and what's still uncertain.
Want to go further? Start a small two-week experiment: one gentle choice, a light daily check-in, and an honest look back.
Daylumen also looks more refined, with calmer touch feedback throughout. Your existing view appears first while the full analysis updates quietly behind it, the 7-night sleep chart now shows real dates, and more cards let you tap through for the story behind them.
- 1.3.3
Added localized app language support and localized App Store screenshots for eight markets.
The same calm daily reading is now easier to discover in English, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, German, French, and Spanish.
- 1.3.2
The full Daylumen is here: one lifetime purchase, yours forever.
- The complete correlation atlas: dozens of signal pairs, who explains whom, on one screen.
- Watch more than one thing at a time, each with its own two-week experiment.
- Your full archive and monthly stories: everything it has learned about you.
- New: see how weather shapes your days (optional, powered by Apple Weather).
- The free app stays complete, and everything is still computed on your phone.
- 1.2.0
This version of Daylumen learns to read your days from more places.
- Today’s body budget: how last night’s sleep and recovery shape the way to pace today.
- Your past six months, written into a story you can read in minutes.
- More connections: how late nights, rain, and busy days change your sleep and recovery, explained by your photos, weather, and schedule together.
- What it has learned about you: every pattern goes into your archive.
- All computed on your phone, never sent out.
- 1.0.1
This update helps Daylumen understand your days better.
- A warm new interface with “today’s light” — the one thing worth knowing, every day.
- Note a moment: mood, what happened, who you were with — and watch what your good days share.
- Your notes, connected to your body’s signals: shorter sleep on high-stress days, brighter mood with friends.
- A softer, more open typeface, and today’s read refreshes on its own.
